Perfect for …
Psssst! A temporary phone number is perfect for calling and texting when you don’t want to use your real phone number. Keep it as long as you want.
Don’t give any random person your real number. Use Hushed for dating, at least until you decide if you’re going to keep them around for a while.
You don’t want your real number on Discord, bro. Use Hushed for gaming to chat with other gamers when you’re AFK, and sign up for free bonuses. But no griefing!
Don’t use your real phone number to fill out a form for a webinar, freebie, or trial. (Unless you like being added to spammy lists.) Use a Hushed number instead.
Returns, loyalty cards, bonus points: stores always want your number so they can market to you constantly. Nah. Give them your Hushed number instead.
Pivot! Don’t sell a TV, lease out your apartment, or engage in DMs with the trolls on those Buy/Sell sites. Use a temporary Hushed number to keep your encounters … well, temporary!
How Hushed protects your privacy
-
Hushed lets you give people a completely anonymous phone number … and protect your *real* phone number. Create a free account (all we need is an email address) and choose as many temporary phone numbers as you want. Keep ’em, ditch ’em, it’s up to you. No one will know you’re calling from a Hushed phone number, or where you’re actually located.
-
Your real phone number is tied to a LOT of important stuff. It’s how your friends and family contact you. It’s how you receive 2FA codes and log-in details from your bank. It unlocks personal details about your life that you don’t want a stranger knowing. We recommend not giving it out to just anyone.
-
Bad guys can ‘spoof’ your real number and make calls/send texts that appear to becoming from you. They can also redirect those important calls/texts (like 2FA codes) to themselves, making it easy for them to hack into your accounts. Treat your real number with respect, and don’t give it out freely.

Nope, no one will know you’re calling or texting on a Hushed phone number. It’s a real working phone number, and it will show up as a standard phone number (area code, etc.) on someone’s Caller ID, but never show your name. (Here at Hushed, we don’t even ask for your name. We know nothing about you except for your email address, and what you purchase from us.)
-
On a Caller ID, Hushed shows up simply as the phone number. It doesn’t show your name (we don’t know it!) or say ‘Hushed’ or anything weird like that. It’s just … a phone number.

We need an email address from you (literally ANY email address) and that’s what you’ll use as your username when you log in. We don’t ask for any other details — no name, no address, no real phone number, etc. We simply don’t need that info, so why would we collect it?
