Apple AI Updates: New Tools for Text, Image, and Video Creation

Apple’s AI announcement is worth getting excited about. The updates include new and imaginative integrations for AI technology that will allow users to pull from existing content to inform creative endeavours for generating new, custom text, images, and video (and even custom emojis — so fun)! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

What’s Coming?

Apple AI updates promise to offer delightful ways for users to explore visual tools to express themselves. With the new Genmoji tool, create original images that are personal to you, including translating sketches into other images with Image Wand or creating custom memory movies based on your descriptions.

Image Playground

Image Playground will allow you to create new images based on user input such as description, suggested concepts or, pulling from faces found in your photo library. The images are fully customisable and you can adjust them to match themes or styles in your Messages, from Freeform boards or Keynote slides. 

Budding artists can explore animation, illustration, and sketching to create unique fun images to share with friends in other apps or via social media. Text your friends from your Hushed online number and incorporate unique images and visual themes to help keep them separate and organized in your phone or on your Apple device. 

Genmojis

Genmojis can be created on the keyboard to use in any conversation. Simply provide an image description and Genmoji will provide a preview as a jumping off point. You can massage the next to get the image exactly where you’d like it or simply select someone from your photos to create a custom Genmoji to look just like them. 

Image Wand

Transform a rough sketch into a new image right in the Notes app. With your finger or Apple Pencil, just draw a circle around the sketch and the new Image Wand tool will analyze what you’ve drawn and generate a complementary visual. Alternatively, pull a Taylor Swift and circle a blank space. Image Wand can pull from the surrounding context to create a new picture.

These Apple AI updates are designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing Apple devices, making your creative process smoother and more intuitive than ever before.

Memory Movie

In Photos, you can create a custom movie memory. With your description, Apple Intelligence will comb through your photos and videos to craft a storyline, including chapters and themes that run through your content. The tool transforms the photos into a unique, personalized movie with a full narrative arc to share your special memory.

Writing Tools 

Apple Intelligence’s new Writing Tools invite users to take advantage of enhanced language capabilities to summarize text as well as manage distractions and notifications. Incorporated with Siri, the new design features a deeper understanding of language and typing to Siri with ease. Writing Tools are equipped to recognize a user’s context and can perform tasks in various apps. Siri will also now be able to respond to needs related to your device’s settings or specific features.
